Rebling Plastics

Custom Injection Plastic Molding
Rebling Plastics is a small, woman-owned business which serves many customers who provide products to the military, so we are familiar with the required documentation and special requirements of this market segment.

News and Events
Since 1962, Rebling Plastics has manufactured premium quality battery connectors and accessories for the aviation and aerospace industry.

Tradeshow Schedule

Product Development and Engineering for Plastic Injection Molding
Rebling Plastics will assist and/or lead the way in reverse engineering, design for manufacturing, engineering analysis, rapid prototyping, and mold design.

Rapid Prototyping
Today, the product development process for molded plastic parts can be streamlined by turning around rapid prototypes in as little as two days.

Reverse Engineering
At Rebling Plastics, reverse engineering is much more than simply copying an existing design. With the advent of new engineering materials, many manufacturers are able to replace expensive machining operations on metal parts by using multi-cavity plastic injection molding.

3D CAD Molding
Industrial designers use 3D CAD to make ergonomic and aesthetic contours which would be next to impossible to communicate in 2D drawings.

Tooling and Molds
At Rebling Plastics, we concentrate our efforts on design and processing. That is why we use local and overseas toolmakers to manufacture molds for plastic injection molding.

Preventative Maintenance
At Rebling Plastics, we believe in preventative maintenance to avoid more costly mold repairs, quality issues and interruptions in production.

Quick Change Frames vs. Full Frame Molds
To reduce the initial cost of tooling, Rebling Plastics can offer customers the ability to use a quick change frame mold when appropriate.

Quality Control for Plastic Injection Molding
Parts made in a plastic injection molding process can have their own unique set of possible defects. That is why all of our employees are trained to spot these problems.

Inspection Equipment
it is important to treat the inspection of plastic injection molding materials differently than that of metals or other materials.

Employee Responsibility and Training
At Rebling Plastics, we believe in keeping all employees involved in the quality of our plastic injection molding process. That is why in 2003 we decided to train all production personnel in basic blueprint reading and measurement techniques.

Thermoplastic and Thermoset Materials

Thermoplastics
Rebling Plastics has been injection molding thermoplastics for over 25 years.

Plastic Injection Molding with ABS Plastic
Rebling Plastics has vast experience in plastic injection molding the many different grades of ABS plasic available today including high-impact, glass-filled, transparent and high luster formulations.

Plastic Injection Molding with Acetal Material
Rebling Plastics has over 20 years experience in plastic injection molding both the homopolymer acetal (DELRIN®) and copolymer acetal (CELCON®).

Plastic Injection Molding with Acrylyc Material
Rebling Plastics has plastic injection molded acrylic for a variety of applications including lighting equipment, housewares and medical devices.

Plastic Injection Molding with Polyamide (aka Nylon) Plastic
Rebling Plastics has plastic injection molded a variety of polyamides including Nylon 6, 66, 611 and 612 versions in both unfilled, glass and mineral filled formulations, toughened and conductive grades and high temperature grades.

Plastic Injection Molding with Polybutylene Teraphthalate (PBT)
Rebling Plastics injection molds many grades of PBT for applications ranging from under the hood automotive parts to plastic components for the electrical utility industry.

Plastic Injection Molding with Polycarbonate Plastic
Rebling Plastics has used many grades of polycarbonate for demanding, close tolerance, plastic injection molding applications.

Plastic Injection Molding with ULTEM® Plastic
Rebling Plastics has experience plastic injection molding polyetherimide, often referred to as the brand ULTEM®, for applications ranging from telecommunications equipment to medical devices.

Plastic Injection Molding with Polyethylene
Rebling Plastics has been plastic injection molding high, medium and low density polyethylene and polyethylene copolymers for over 25 years.

Plastic Injection Molding with Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPA) Plastic
At Rebling Plastics, we employ state of the art equipment in order to mold Polyphenylene Sulfide components in a fully crystalline state.

Plastic Injection Molding with Polypropylene Plastic
Rebling Plastics molds polypropylene for several end use applications including: protective caps for electrical contacts; battery housings; and small containers that rely on the “live hinge” capabilities of polypropylene.

Plastic Injection Molding with Polystyrene
Both the high impact, medium impact and crystal versions of polystyrene are injection molded at Rebling Plastics for a variety of applications.

Plastic Injection Molding Thermoplastic Elastomers
Flexible Thermoplastic elastomers are plastic injection molded by Rebling Plastics for a multitude of applications.

Thermosets
Thermoset plastics, primarily Epoxy, Phenolic and DAP, have been molded by Rebling Plastics since 1961.

Phenolic
Phenolic was the first plastic material molded by Rebling Plastics. Since 1961, Rebling Plastics has continued to mold this heat resistant thermoset plastic using both the transfer and injection molding processes.

Awards and Certificates

Plastic Molding Processing
At Rebling Plastics, we perform several types of plastic molding processes to meet our customers’ diverse needs. We have decades of experience with thermoplastic injection molding, insert molding (including wire overmolding), and thermoset injection, compression and transfer molding.

Insert Molding
Typically insert molding, or overmolding, requires accurately placing part(s) made from metal or other suitable materials (referred to as the insert) into the mold, closing the mold and then injecting the plastic into and/or around the insert(s).

Thermoset Injection Molding
Thermoset injection molding is an automated process transforming granular material into molded shapes that Rebling Plastics has been performing since the company’s inception.

Thermoset Transfer/Compression Molding
Thermoset compression molding is typically a manual process that transforms granular material into molded shapes by adding material directly into an open mold cavity and then closing the mold.

Thermoplastic Injection Molding
Thermoplastic injection molding is the most common way to manufacture plastic parts. Thermoplastics are polymers that can be heated to soften or melt, and cooled to solidify as a physical change, rather than a chemical change that takes place during molding of thermoset materials.

Value Added Processes
At Rebling Plastics, we understand that our customers often need more than a plastic injection molding service. Rebling Plastics and its adjacently located and owned affiliate, the Remcal Products Company, can provide a turnkey solution for your product launch.

Custom Color Matching
Having the right color part is very important to many of our customers. Color is especially important for consumer products, but many industrial and military products must have specific and consistent color as well.

Decorating
Decorating allows the flexibility of making different text and images in a variety of colors and finishes. Rebling Plastics uses both pad printing and hot stamping for decorating plastic parts.

Ultrasonic Assembly
Rebling Plastics utilizes ultrasonics for assembly operations that include: welding of plastic materials; installing a metal insert into a plastic part; and staking of plastic parts.

Battery Components
Since 1962, Rebling Plastics has manufactured premium quality battery connectors and accessories for the aviation and aerospace industry.

Battery Quick Disconnects
Rebling Plastics offers a selection of two-wire and four-wire quick disconnect plugs for both nickel-cadmium and lead-acid batteries.

Receptacles
